The trademarks are divided into 45 separate classes. Each class denotes a different goods and services.
It may be possible that a Trademark applications falls under different classes or more than one class. Registering a trademark under one class, it does not protect the same trademark being filed by another entity in different class.
Therefore, getting your trademark registered in a particular class does not give an entity and exclusive right over the mark’s use. It only gives exclusive rights for the use related to that particular class of goods or services for which the trademark is registered.
